Just because we can…we’ve compiled our top 10 Nintendo games as voted on by…well…us.

10.  Super Dodge Ball (1989) - now you can terrorize fat kids by pummeling them with rubber balls at both school AND home. Is it any wonder our generation is so violent?

9.  RC Pro Am (1988) - why go outside in the Cali sunshine and play with your radio-controlled car when you can drive around an 8-bit digital version on your TV screen?

8.  Mega Man (1987) - 22 years later, and we still don’t know anyone who has actually completed it.

7.  Excitebike (1985) - creating your own track was still a brand new concept.  Just don’t let your bike overheat.

6.  Contra (1988) - come on…all you need to see is:  Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left Right, B, A, Select, Start.  Hell, it’s the only way you can beat the game.

5.  Metroid (1987) - still not sure if your character was supposed to be a man, woman, or even human, but he/she/misc. still kicked some serious ass.  Okay, fine, it was a chick.  The original Lara Croft…minus the boobs.

4.  Ice Hockey (1988) - the only game that let you play as the USA against the USSR. I still pop in Ice Hockey today whenever I want to relive the Cold War.  4 fat guys and 1 skinny guy can dominate.

3.  Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out (1987) - before he was an ear-chewing, face-tattooed, convicted sexual predator…Mike Tyson was the most daunting final villain in Nintendo history.

2.  Super Mario Bros (1985) - secret passageways, time warp portals, psychedelic mushrooms. What’s not to love?  The original is still the best.

1.  Tecmo Super Bowl (1991) - play with Bo Jackson and watch your friends bitch and moan. This also marks the last time the Raiders were dominant at anything but sucking.  Just watch Bo go…
